RECOMMENDATION:
Appoint Angela Alfaro to the Providence Valdez Medical Center Community (Health) Advisory Council, to serve a full three-year term expiring October 2024
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Four vacancies exist on the Providence Valdez Medical Center Community (Health) Advisory Council (CAC) due to normal term expiration or resignation.
PVMC requested the Clerk’s Office assistance in advertising for this round of vacancies and utilization of the city online boards application portal to accept applications.
Both PVMC and the City Clerk’s Office advertised the vacancies. One application was received:
• Angela Alfaro, MD
PVMC and the current PVMC CAC discussed the application received during their December 14th meeting and recommend the applicant for appointment by City Council.
Appointee will serve an approximate three-year term, expiring in October 2024.
The City Clerk’s Office will assist PVMC with additional rounds of advertising to fill the remaining three vacancies (two seats for a full term and one seat for a partial term).
