RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the contract amendment with Alaska Scrap & Recycling LLC for nuisance abatement, scrap metal collection and processing, and upcoming scrap barge preparation in the amount of $75,000.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
To continue the momentum and utilize available labor and equipment after the departure of the scrap metal barge on August 11th, nuisance abatement work is planned on previously identified locations and will include collection, processing, and centrally located storage of scrap metal for an upcoming barge in subsequent years.
The amount of unexpended funds on the existing contract is unknown until the barge is offloaded and reconciled for actual costs and weight.
