RECOMMENDATION:
Approve Ordinance 24-12 in second reading, adoption.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
If adopted, Ordinance 24-12 will make the following changes to the Parks & Recreation Commission (Chapter 2.48), Ports & Harbors Commission (Chapter 2.56), Library Board:
• Reduces the number of members for each body from 7 to 5.
• Sets term length for all bodies at 3 years.
• Makes language relating to appointments of members, election of chair and chair pro tem and process for filling vacancies consistent throughout each chapter.
(Note: The composition of the Economic Diversification Commission was already adjusted with the adoption of Ordinance 24-09)
