RECOMMENDATION:
Approve physician recruitment contract.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Dr. Alfaro’s physician recruitment agreement has reached the end of the initial 5- year term. The agreement provides for an additional 5-year term with an option to extend the agreement for 1 additional 5- year term with compensation adjusted for inflation based on the current CPI. Finance provided the current compensation amount of this contract renewal based on that calculation.
The new contract has been reviewed by legal and modified to include a provision acceptable by Providence and Dr. Alfaro that reads as follows:
a. Physician shall provide coverage at Providence Valdez Medical Center within the scope of physician’s hospital privileges and for services upon terms agreed upon between Physician and Providence Valdez Medical Center.
