RECOMMENDATION:
Accept resignation.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Section XIII.E.19 of Council Policies and Procedures (re: citizens advisory groups) states “Any member wishing to resign from a citizen advisory group prior to the completion of their full term shall provide written notice to their staff liaison who will forward such notice to the City Clerk’s Office for processing and formal acceptance by City Council”.
Beautification Commission Member Edward Day submitted his resignation to the Clerk’s Office by email on July 17, 2026.
The Clerk’s Office has kept two prior applicants on file Council will vote by ballot to appoint one of the applicant to serve the remainder of Commissioner Day’s term under New Business this evening.
