SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Background: A conditions assessment for Valdez High School was performed in 2022, outlining the needs of the aging facility. Funds were appropriated for programming and conceptual schematic design of the facility in 2025. The city advertised a Request for Qualifications from 02/26/26 - 04/01/26. A total of nine submissions were received and reviewed by a committee comprised of members of the Capital Facilities department and School District leadership. Interviews of the 3 highest ranked firms were later conducted, and Wolf Architecture was chosen as the most qualified for the project.
Description: The work outlined in the attached fee proposal covers the preliminary stages of design for the Valdez High school Remodel project. Tasks include Conditions verification, 3d scan and BIM model creation, stakeholder engagement and programming, education specification, concept alternatives, 35% schematic design, schematic estimates, and a phasing and disruption plan.
Note: This service agreement does not cover the totality of architectural services for the completion of this project as a whole. The tasks listed in this fee proposal, and subsequently, the service agreement, will allow the architectural team and stakeholders to develop the total scope of work associated with the Valdez High School Renovation project.
