RECOMMENDATION:
Make and forward a recommendation to City Council for 2024 Beautification Matching Grant award.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
At their April 2024 meeting the Beautification Commission voted to accept a second round of match grant applications. Applications will be accepted through May 31, 2024, and the commission expressed a desire to consider applications on a rolling basis.
The City Clerk’s Office received 1 additional application for the 2024 Beautification Matching Grant Program before April 26, 2024.
Valdez Brewing applied and was awarded a matching grant in 2023 but was unable to complete their project. They have applied again for 2024 funding in the amount of $6562.55. This project falls into the Tier 2 category since this business has previously received grant funding for another project.
