RECOMMENDATION:
Review, Discussion, and develop a prioritized 5 year capital Improvement recommendation to the Valdez City Council.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Ports & Harbors Commission will review the Valdez Comprehensive Waterfront Master Plan, discuss completed and partially completed projects, identify concepts that remain relevant or require updating, and consider current and emerging capital needs for Ports, Harbors, and Airport facilities. The Commission will then develop a prioritized recommendation to City Council for projects to be considered in the City’s five-year Capital Improvement Program.
Discussion will include near-term infrastructure needs, long-range opportunity concepts, and whether the Waterfront Master Plan should be updated to reflect completed work, changed conditions, and current community priorities. The presentation is intended to provide a clear transition from the existing Master Plan into the Commission’s current project priorities and recommendations.
Commissioner Reminder: Please bring your copy of the Valdez Comprehensive Waterfront Master Plan to the meeting if you have one available, as it may be helpful during the review and project-prioritization discussion.
