Approve Resolution 24-34.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
At the August 21, 2024 Rregular City Council Meeting the council expressed concerns about the current situation with many Alderwood Mobile Home Park Residents not having access to potable water and the boil water notice issued to residents by the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation. Council expressed a desire for city administration to find a timely solution.
Resolution 24-34 delegates the authority to enter into agreements to facilitate the process of water hookup for mobile home park residents to the City Manager so that the health concern can be addressed in a timely manner.
Under VMC 8.20.240(B)(5) the city may take abatement action to “make any minimal emergency repairs as necessary to eliminate any imminent life safety hazard.”
