SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Solid Waste Department conducted its Annual Landfill Inspection and received an impressive rating of 97.3% out of 100%. The deductions noted were primarily clerical in nature. This outcome reflects the hard work and dedication of our Solid Waste team.
Results have been on the City of Valdez webpage for public access and the Public Works Department is committed to addressing all recommendations from the inspection to ensure a clean and operational landfill for the City of Valdez.
The final inspection report from the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation is attached for review.
