SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Valdez City Council will hold their first day of their annual planning session in the Civic Center Conference room on Thursday, June 20th from 1:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
The session will be facilitated by Karen Kirk of Synergistic Solutions. The session is noticed as a public meeting and public may attend.
Schedule Overview for Day 1:
• Agenda & Engagement Protocol / Opening session re: Views/Perceptions on Leadership and Making Decisions in Groups
• Strategic Planning Process Overview
o Purpose: Review how mission, vision and values fit into the function of a strategic planning process
• Financial Outlook
o Purpose: To review ‘Long-Term Financial Strategy’ and ‘Budget Parameters Resolution’
• COV Vision Statement (brief pre-work)
o Purpose: To begin development of a vision statement for the City of Valdez
