SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Project Description: This project includes but it not necessarily limited to:
The removal of existing pavement and curb markings by sandblasting or other approved methods on North Harbor Drive. Then installation of new angled parking pavement and curb markings on both the north and south side of the roadway. New ADA markings are included in this project.
The scope of work is further described in the attached Request for Proposals with drawings titled "Parking and Traffic Improvements North Harbor Drive".
Construction Schedule: The contractor has until June 15, 2024, to complete this project. If this is not possible due to weather conditions or too much harbor traffic then the project will be completed spring of 2025.
Liquidated Damages: $250 per day
Engineers Estimate: Under $205,000
Bidding: This Request for Proposals went out to bid for 2 weeks on the City's website. 1 proposal was received, reviewed, and rated by the City's project manager. Total Bid cost amounted to 60 percent of the scoring and the contractors work plan proposal amounted for 40 percent of the scoring. Anchorage Striping, LLC was the only contractor to submit a proposal. They received the entire 60 points possible for the low bid and after review of their work plan proposal they received 34 of the 40 points possible.
