RECOMMENDATION:
Approve Snow Removal Contract for Area II to P & R Enterprises, Inc
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Contract term shall span 4 snow-season years, commencing November 1, 2026, and expiring June 15, 2030. There is no set dollar amount associated with the contract because they are completely driven by the amount of snow that Valdez gets each year. Therefore, this is a time and materials contract. Funding for the contract comes from the “Rural Snow Removal” line item in the Public Works, Streets/Shop yearly budget. Upon approval this contract will begin November 01, 2026.
Historic expenditures for area II have averaged approximately $315k annually.
