SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Public Works Department purchased a 2025 Ford Explorer Patrol Vehicle for the Valdez Police Department at a total cost of $87,712.98. The vehicle was acquired in accordance with City procurement requirements and within the approved budget amount.
This unit replaces a 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe patrol vehicle. The replaced Tahoe has been transferred to the Capital Facilities Department and assigned to the Capital Facilities Director for emergency operations use, maximizing the continued service life of the asset.
The new patrol vehicle will support daily law enforcement operations, emergency response, and community safety efforts. This purchase ensures fleet reliability, operational readiness, and continuity of public safety services.
